" A Heart Of Flesh"

Rating: 5.0
God wants to give
each of us a "heart of flesh"
so that we will be pliable
and responsive to Him.

When touched
by the finger of God,
a tender heart yields
to the pressure
and assumes the form
He desires, much like
a lump of clay
that allows the potter
to determine
the shape of the vessel.

Ezekiel 36: 25-28 New International Version (NIV)
25 „I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanseyou from all your impurities and from all your idols.26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God".

2) I adore how the poet compares God with a potter who moulds, shapes, bends us, breaks us until we become the shape He desires. Then we are His! A very beautiful poem which captures our loving relationship with God exquisitely. Thank you for sharing, Tony...

1) When we are touched by God we are beings of light and love. His divine love touches our hearts and His divine light can be seen in our faces, in our words, in our actions. We live for Him, for His divine glory.
