After Waking Up - Poem by Jochen Anonymus

Suffering in the quiet corner of my bedroom
Recalling last year's events
Reminding myself of the last weekend
Hoping for the pain to stop
Praying for some honest happiness
Feeling ridiculed by forces I cannot grasp
Knowing something inside me is dying slowly
Suffering to be free
At last.
