Bridal Hymn - Poem by Slava Olchevski

With the whole world
My secret I share
I love you my darling
My Times Square

The size, the history
Landmarks and skyline
You will be my bride
You will be mine

When I quietly sleep
Under blanket of snow
I am dreaming of you
All in Broadway glow

My friend Alexander
Saw on computer
St. Mark from Venice
Is also your suitor

Don’t buy his promises
And turn him down
The sea is drowning
His native town

My American jewel
Crossroads of the world
My love to you
Hundreds years old

Please, answer my prayer
And accept my vow
I am Red square
From distant Moscow!

It was written for Poems of Times Square contest.
