Deaths Sweet Mercy - Poem by Amanda harding

So meaningless
His words now seem
Is he real
Or is it lies
I feel so numb
I feel such despair
I don’t want to go on
With this pain
My body is weak
My mind dark
My heart empty
My soul fading
My dreams of a family
They seem impossible now
There’s nothing left for me now
Everything’s gone
I want a release
From this pain
I will death upon me
I pray for his mercy
To let me move on
Death is the only answer for me
This true soul empty
