Evening Note 68 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Good evening my sweet
and crown jewel of my very heart,
I pray your day was well
and you felt all of my strength
with my warmth and love.
I was holding you the whole day
as I will be doing right
through this night.
My heart beats for and calls to you
in its deep love for my Queen.
You are so beautiful
and gorgeous to me.
Not much to do on this
Friday eve except watch
the new movie I got and try
to focus a while so I can read.
All the while though I'll be
thinking of you and how
things would be better if you were here
to sit and spend time with.
Be it reading, movies, talking,
or quietly holding each other
I'd be happy and peaceful
being with my precious sweet lady.
I adore you my Angel
and can't wait to hold and kiss you.
Spend many evening having
fun with each other and losing
track of time as it goes by like lighting.
I'll be dreaming of you
as I'm already yearning and longing.
So on this evening feel me
right there holding you,
I am concerned that you are
truly deeply hurting
and I want to dry your tears
even if just in spirit right now
because soon enough I will be able
and then kiss your forehead
and cheeks then kissing your eyes
that I will have dried to
take away the sadness in them.
My hand is in yours and my arms wrapped around,
my darling Kira I am right here
and I will be ready as soon as you are.
