I'M Always Around - Poem by Dhruv Dikshit

You say you’ll stay,
But you don’t,
You say you’ll play,
But you won’t.
You say you’ll touch,
But you couldn’t.

Still I’m always around,
Nowhere else to be found,
Standing in the crowd,
Looking for a reason to be proud.

You say you don’t cry,
But you have.
You say you won’t try,
But you will.
You say you won’t change,
But you can.

Still I’m always around,
Nowhere else to be found,
With faces clowned,
And emotions drowned.

Heard what you had to say,
Said what I had everyday,
Cried when I should’ve been gay,
Tried when I could lay away.

Still I’m always around,
Nowhere else to be found,
As to me you crowned,
A kingdom never renowned.
