Loneliness - Poem by Christine Ehlers

It was as if we were destined,
Like the sun and the earth;
So far away, but come together
For one perfect moment at sunset.
But it cannot last forever
As the sun must continue on it's path.
So have you
And I am forever left with
The quiet sorrow of the moon.
