Love - Poem by Josh Weiss

Awarding oneself with countless beauty,
arising tall with the sense of duty,
to climb the straits of senseless seas,
cross the valleys with endless ease,
fleet over the green meads and trees,
fly upon the cool azure breeze,
over the waving ocean tide,
upon the greatest mountain side,
and together in accord all of these,
with beauty and grace does appease,
so that upon the peak of mountain side,
breathing deep with a sense of pride,
opening those brown eyes wide,
feeling the rush of humanity inside,
and deep in emotion you then cried:
'To be in love and have love reside,
is the only feeling I wish to provide,
For all other feelings are of no degree,
while love is of the ultimate decree.'
You shut those brown eyes in tearful bliss,
thanking heaven that love exists,
for you and the ones you hold true to your heart,
for the ones who are dear and with your love impart
the deepest of emotions, that primal notion
of utter love and utter devotion.
