Newlewedded - Poem by jenney burrow

Where are you when I need you
am I in this all alone
joined together
but still the same
it's supposed to be wonderful
the best i'm told
but who have i become
it's not me is what i'm told

what control do you have
that makes me do what i do
i'm sorry if I hurt you
i just wish you can feel the same way i do
i'm not saying that love isn't a factor
in this game that we will play
i love you the most
but I need some help day by day

in this life you choose to partake
but sometimes I feel you've made a mistake
I don't want to be second best
or to see if I'll last longer than all the rest
I've made it clear of what you mean to me
take the blinders off, open your eyes so you can see
I don't know what it is you need
but this is the case i'm here to plead

act like you are here by personal choice
here me out and then share my VOICE
i'm sorry i'm not enough for you
that you need something else to make you happy

one day if I last
i hope it can be me and you
and you can forget about who has left you
and realize who is here now.
