Nymph Of Ten And Twenty Two Years - Poem by Bridget Bush

This little nymph of ten and twenty two years
crying in my arms
Jaded and scorned under the apple tree
wiping away her tears of loneliness
crushed into the fetal position
drowning in her despair
a decade minus two she's been alone
breathing the water into her lungs
songs of the lonely echo in her ears
making it hard to go on
a god of gods drops a pebble into her pool
the reverberating rings awake her
eyes wide open she begins to see
and rises from the mud
her beauty is exquisite in her hour of need
I rub her back and inflate her ego
letting her be free
