Sandcastle

Poem by Michael Heraly

Frantically covering
The ball of shame
With sand that will not stay
Digging and tossing about
On the beach of an ocean of doubt
For the sun is leaving
Along with the meaning
And children no longer play

Perhaps if a cavern
Is made in the ground
Can we join in hiding with the guilt
But if we stand up
And throw our hands up
Give up the game we play
Just for today, every day
We'll find a sandcastle built

Very well written. I like the symbolism. =)(Report)Reply
