Silence... - Poem by manish choudhury

silently i scream
as you burn me alive
crush me turn me to pulp
cut me to peices and feed cattle
and burn my body to give you warmth.

you have decimated my sons and grandsons
killed them by the billions
the greatest genocide
but noone cared
enough.

i have fed you and nurtured you
with my seeds my children and my fruits
you have played in my shade
and listened to the breeze singing with me
you and i were friends.
