Sing For Me - Poem by pragya semwal

I hate the stage
my voice just won't match
I have these words
but the voice just can't catch
the fire's hid behind
sing it for me
sing it for me

For me
I need a recording space
maybe a gift card
album cover? my face
I'm no artist but I'm willing to starve
if you
sing it for me
sing it for me

People looks at me funny
and so does my friends
I'd take a lesson
but the learning seems hard
So, just to bring out the fire
sing it for me
sing it for me

it wouldn't matter
except the records would sell
I've written this down
poetry can go to hell
I don't care, I'll dress like a clown
just
sing it for me
sing it for me

they say if I was really a rock star
I'd not have a desk job
If I could sing, oh, I'd be a star!
Since i cant be a star so, .
sing it for me
sing it for me
