Dakota Manning

Typical - Poem by Dakota Manning

Tonight I'm dining with a demon
The most vicious of them all
Tonight I hope I'm dreamin'
Because I can't take one more fall

I'm weak, I'm scared
Calling out for morning's light
I speak, still scared
'Please God, not tonight.'

Oh I feel the fire
Coursing up my fragile veins
Oh as it gets higher
I wish I could be saved

Nineteen, sleeping with a demon
So young, so naive, so easy
Nineteen, lifeless for a demon
So young, so naive, so easy
