What Witches Want - Poem by Cally A. Nixon

I want to,
see...
That young kid,
in me.

I want to,
brew...
Some little kid,
stew.

I want to,
hear...
A scream,
how dear.

I want kids,
to dream...
Then wake up,
and scream.

I want to,
stand at their beds...
my old green fingers,
wiping their foreheads.
