Wishing On A Star - Poem by Cheryl Anne Cordova

I wish on a silvery sky
We'll stay forever where we lie
And we may never say goodbye
But wishes like that nightly die
So I just hold you tight and try
To stop my heart's depressing cry

Wishing upon the bliss darkness
I feel so much of tenderness
In your innocent loveliness
I know time is not limitless
But I just hope for what's near best
May our days somehow be endless

Now as I sweetly think of you
And the special times we've been through
All the amusing things we do
Days and nights I'd never undo
I contentedly smile so true
And wish you're thinking of me, too.
