Written In Stone - Poem by AnneMarie Hewlett

I promise to brighten up your day
And hold your heart close to mine
I promise to make you smile
Whenever you’re feeling down.

Forever, do I promise
To remain faithful and true
This I promise you

I will break down the cold wall
That has surrounded your heart
I will find the key and open the door
That has locked away your heart

This I promise you
No matter what happens in time
That our love will forever
Be written in stone

Whenever you need to be lucky,
I will be your four-leaf clover
My love, I will ward off your fears
When nightmares seem to arise

I won’t let anyone mistreat you
Or do you wrong
Forever my love, I will be that someone
That you can depend on

Forever, do I promise
To remain faithful and true
This I promise you

This I promise you
No matter what happens in time
That our love will forever
Be written in stone

Our souls, I promise will be bound as one
Our minds and hearts blended as one
For we made a commitment from the very start
Forever my love, until death do us part

Forever my love and throughout the universe
My love shall shine even to the darkest parts
No need to fear the dark anymore
Because I will be there with a lantern
Guiding you with my heart

Forever, do I promise
To remain faithful and true
This I promise you

This I promise you
No matter what happens in time
That our love will forever
Be written in stone

This I promise you
For centuries and generations from now on
Our love will be engraved
It will be written in stone
