Changes - Poem by marla powell

Things are ever changing, nothing is the same,
The winds of autumn blew and winter suddenly came,
Southern comfort went away and noiw it is just a game,
Ever-changing people, places, things,
I'll find my way by taking a few minutes at a time to breathe,
I'll keep deep inside the mystery,
Why love was lost I have to understand,
How much the loving you will cost,
I must meet love's demands,
And compliment the man who is my refuse,
While lonliness chips away at my haven,
Emptiness breaking down the doors,
Things can't stay the same as they've always been,
Foggy are the memories of the love that is no more...
