On Loyalty Poem by ed purchla

On Loyalty

Love, Oh the fickle heart's dawn ascent,
Tossed, turned in life's undulating seas.
Loyalty, the monolith, an unchanging sentiment,
An unwavering ship in this existential breeze.

In the theatre of love, we shadow puppets dance,
Chase the fleeting ecstasy of this transitory blaze,
Loyalty, in its profound consistency, a stoic trance,
An unwavering beacon in life's confounding haze.

Love, the deceptive charm of dawn's delight,
Capricious as the seas it sways, it teases,
Prized, however, is the undisturbed night,
Where loyalty, silent profundity, appeases.

Love, the erratic celestial dart,
Its rhythm flippant, it recoils, retreats,
Yet loyalty, etched in every mortal's heart,
The moon eternal, in life's merciless beats.

Love, the ephemeral rainbow's falter, alter,
Loyalty stands, an incontestable foundation.
