Summer Eve's Lakeside Respite Poem by james watkin

Summer Eve's Lakeside Respite

As restful a wayside
Off all this worldly
Matter and bother
All that of fatigue weighs
Does float there over.

Slid, sightless on down this
Ornamental lake's
Cool willowy banks
Till as settled, lily-like
For dragonfly's pranks.
