The World Is Falling Apart - Poem by Donavan hemphill

The icy glaciers fall apart
The molten lava comes still
The hippo goes on a diet
The ants eat 30 lbs. a day
The night is hot
The day is cold
The world is so full
Yet our hearts lie empty
As the world is falling apart
