Taffeta - Poem by Karnail Singh Heirwale

Love for the taffeta
Is love for the surface
Whether youth or age
We love it
And those who fathom deep
Come to another surface
Taffeta phraes have their charm
They keep us warm
At certain stages of life
We love to be drowned
In dainty expressions
When we age
We supplant taffeta
By russet

Is the game over
Taffeta remains our frailty
Lest we witness
The underlayers.
